Moor lane studio sits within a mature shady garden and is the home and workplace of artist Jean Larcum.
Jean Larcum began her creative career by attending Art School in the early 70’s. Her course in design and textiles embedded a love of colour, texture and all things figurative.
In the 80’s Jean attended Lincolnshire and Humberside University and gained her degree in Visual Studies, focusing on painting and sculpture.
She started teaching painting
and sculpture in the early 90’s.
Throughout her teaching career she has remained a working artist undertaking portrait commissions in a variety of media.
Her main focus is the uniqueness of the human form with all the charm and character that each individual portrays.
Jean is a popular teacher and runs weekly classes locally and specialist studio workshops from Moor Lane Studio throughout the year.
She is also in great demand delivering demonstrations and workshops
to groups and societies across Yorkshire.
